UPLIFTING THE EDUCATION STANDARDS OF OUR PEOPLE

The County Bursary funds were disbursed at Kericho Day secondary school, Ainamoi Sub County where cheques worth 160 million were distributed to over 42000 beneficiaries from secondary and tertiary institutions, in a colorful ceremony presided over by the Governor, H.E Dr Eric Mutai.

The Governor, having come from a disadvantaged background expressed his empathy with students who can't access education because of financial challenges and promised to expand the fund to cater for more needy students.

The Governor also thanked all the stakeholders from the ward committees to members of the County assembly and the Education Department for working tirelessly and fairly to ensure that the most vulnerable students benefited. The County boss also called on beneficiaries of the bursaries to give value for the funds disbursed by completing their education successfully so that they help in building our county and country.

The Governor was accompanied by his cabinet and members of the county assembly.
